Just an example of an inexpensive analog model from Grundig; "Concert Boy 238".
An all-purpose portable radio, with 5 bands (including shortwave & 49m band-spread). The FM-band also has 4 handy presets.
This radio lacks the full sound and solid build-quality of many older models , but it is easy to operate and is a bargain at today's used prices of 15-20 USD. As is the case with many other budget portables ,selecting Short Wave stations is a trying process without a fine-tuning control.
